I really think that him moving up should be out of the question. I agree with an earlier poster who asked what would happen to their regular heavyweight, Feist, I believe. It is the goal of so many kids outside of that elite bubble just to make it to state, and you can't really say "Hey, thanks buddy, you're a real trooper for holding down the spot all year, but this guys needs his second state championship and this is where we feel would be the easiest to get it. Also, I'm not all that sure that if Bitz moved up that he could even win at heavyweiht. Those guys have vastly improved, and would not be an easy row to hoe. Wouldn't it feel better for him to win a title at a weight were he's already lost to some kids. State can also be a great time for redemption.

Another thought that entered my head was that if bitz were to beat Keith McCleary at regionals what would that do for state seeding at 215? bitz HAS beat him 2 times and lost a couple also... and McCleary has beaten Kleeman

Depending on how Bitz has done against Kleeman this season, you would almost want to have Bitz and McCleary both on the bottom of the bracket and meet in the semi's. But that wouldn't necessarily be the right thing to do, since McCleary did beat Kleeman. I could also just see them giving the #1 seed to whomever wins region 1 and the runner-up getting the 3 seed. There are too many scenarios to look at in this one.

Region II Greenwood did take first and he is a good wrestler, but Crocker and Doeling were very tough. This is going to be an exciting weight class at State. Doeling lost to Greenwood 2-1 and Crocker lost I believe 3-2. At the end of each dual the wrestlers were exhausted. Greenwood threw Crocker several times and threw Doeling once, but both Crocker and Doeling countered well. Those big boys are strong. At this point it does look like Greenwood will take state, but he will have to wrestle tough because the other big dogs are hot on his heels. As for Jeremy Bitz: My advice is to stay put where you are at because the HWT class is not like last year. Good luck to all the HWTs. One wrong move and your out.

BBW...as to your advice to Bitz, it is a day late, he wrestled 215 yesterday so that is obviously where he will be wrestling state.

Oh come on! Crocker and Greenwood have only met twice this year, and they split pretty evenly...Crocker beat Greenwood 2-1, and then this past week-end Greenwood beat Crocker 3-2. That's only a 1 point victory for each...not like one is dominant over the other...you predict Greenwood? I say Crocker! Go Nick!

i agree that Crocker and Greenwood are about as evenly matched as any two wrestlers i've seen in a while, i predict them to be in the finals and i predict a great match regardless the outcome! i think that the top 8 should be.... Greenwood, Crocker, Hassler, McCleary, Doeling, Timm, Nygard, and Feist as far as seeding goes... Good Luck To all Wrestlers! see ya in minot
