Cavalier used to come to the Carrington Dual Trny and the Jamestown Trny. At least that gave Cavalier some taste of the different wrestlers for state. Anyone know why they don't come to these trnys anymore. I can see not coming to the Jamestown Trny, but Carrington would be an excellant trny for them to participate in.

Cavalier did not go to the Jamestown Tournament this year because they went to Crookston (MN) instead, much closer to home, i do not know why they don't go to the carr. duals trny, but this year they are going to Rugby and Rolla Tournaments, Rugby will for sure give them some exposure, i'm not too sure about Rolla though... does anyone know what teams will be in Rolla, January 11?

The Rugby Tournament had Greenwood and Hassler in the Finals with Greenwood decisioning him 9-5. He looked pretty good, and also Hassler had that tape back on his head and NO it is not a weapon used for cheating, his head was again cut open while wrestling Duane Martin Jr. from turtle mountain, he did not want to have to stop the match every 2 seconds to wipe off the blood, he was running back and forth so that his injury did not give Martin any chances to catch his breath, he was clearly in better shape! and he also did not have a hot head at all. he was very sportsmanlike throughout the entire tournament!

HELLO!!!YOU EVER SIT DOWN AND THINK ABOUT WHY HIS HEAD IS ALWAYS CUT OPEN!!! MY HEAD WOULD BLEAD TOO IF I HEADBUTTED EVERYBODY I WRESTLED SO I WOULDNT ALWAYS USE THAT AS MY EXCUSE IF I WERE HIM!

in my match w/hassler he never once attempted a headbutt, and i did not see him attempt any in his other matches either, i have not seen any of his other matches but he had a black eye, a bruised cheek and a cut forehead, looked to me that if anyone was doing any headbutting he was getting the poor end of the deal

Hmm.... Heavyweight. First in regards to Kleeman. If he goes heavyweight he will win it. If Bitz goes heavyweight he would win it. If both go Kleeman wins it. Kleeman (no, i'm not from Killdeer) is a speciman. Down in Hettinger he wrestled a kid from Harding County (Padden -> His brother won the Nationals out at Pittsburgh a couple years ago) and came out on top (by one or two). Bitz was also in that weight and came out getting 4th (lost to Padden pretty decisively and Holle from New Salem 6-4). If neither goes then I go with McCleary from Napoleon who doesn't show his best till down the stretch. Kleeman I doubt will go as he is going to be #1 at 215. I think a person will see Bitz there though, as will have a better chance then at 215. Nothing against the other wrestlers as all are good quality kids and anything could happen. I see a rematch from last years state finals with Bitz over McCleary in the finals.

Way to go Crocker, all i ever seem to hear about from minnesota wrestlers or teams is how much superior they are to ND wrestling!!!

Yeah, Greenwood won that Rolla Tournament, but what you didn't say is how he did it, he had 5 pins in a combined 2 minutes and 37 seconds!!! WOW... only word to describe it! none of his matches were over 1 minute, and three of them were less than thirty seconds!

no offence to greenwood because he is a great wrestler, but there was no heavyweights at rolla to challenge him, the only halfway decent guy there besides greenwood is the oger from kenmare and this is his first year so yea.

This is going to be a great heavy weight year at the state tournament. It's stacked. It's one of my favorite weight classes. Greenwood, Hassler, Doeling, McCleary, Crocker, the list goes on. Anyone of them could beat the other one on a given day.

I see McCleary beat Crocker in Lisbon, that makes them 1-1 against eachother... Cavalier duals HIllsboro in Hillsboro next thursday, that will be exciting! i haven't seen a whole lot on Doeling or Hassler lately, how have they been doing these last couple weeks? and what about Nick Timm? i haven't heard his name since the beginning of the year, how is he doing? anyone know his record??? or know if he's beaten anyone good lately? Animal, i couldn't agree w/you more, if you tossed these 6 names in a tournament 3-4 weeks in a row odds are you wouldn't have the same outcome!!!

It would be my understanding that Hassler, Doeling, McCleary and Timm shouldd all be at the East/West Trny this weekend. Should see some good action at that Trny in all weight classes.
