how is this match going to effect the polls for the top 4 spots... we have a merry go round right now...
hassler beat mccleary, McCleary beat Crocker, Crocker beat Greenwood, greenwood beat hassler..... coaches have fun at the state seeding meeting!

It's pretty simple actually, whoever wins the region between Crocker and Greenwood gets the #1 seed.

right now the # 1 seed would go to crocker since he beat greenwood who beat hassler. crocker has also beaten hassler, mccleary, and doeling. he would still have the edge over mccleary because mccleary lost to hassler who crocker beat.

Watch out for Doeling, i see that THREE TIMES he has lost to McCleary by ONE POINT! eventually its gonna go the other way for him! and the way it looks RIGHT NOW is that unless crocker loses to greenwood and crocker gets seeded 4th that McCleary will be 4 and doeling 5... that means they'd more than likely wrestle at state!

I'm not sure McCleary will go that far down in the seedings. As far as i know, McCleary lost at the carrington duals to crocker, but then beat him at the lisbon tournament. I think what wil end up happening is since everyone is beating everyone else it will come down to Criteria, and somehow or another it will more than likely come down to last years state placings. then mcleary could get pretty high if it goes that route. It will be interesting to see what happens.

If it were to come down to last year's state placings here is a reminder of how they finished: McCleary-#2 Greenwood-#4 Hassler-#5 Doeling-#6 Crocker-did not place

At the Region II Duals Crocker had an easy day w/2 or 3 pins (but didn't wrestle doeling or greenwood) Greenwood and Doeling did wrestle eachother, i think the final score was 5-0 in Greenwoods favor. Were there any other big Hwt. Matchups yesterday in the other regions??? if so please post them

I bet that Bitz comes back to hwt for state, if you look at it he is looking at 3rd seed at 215 and that puts him in the semi's against kleeman, best he'll do there is 3rd or 4th, if he goes hwt, returning state champ at that weight he beat everyone there before, so he gets number 1 seed,
thats just what i think he will do

I don't think Bitz would be seeded #1 at HWT because he hasn't wrestled at that weight this year but if he does move up and beats McCleary in regionals he would be a top 3 possibly.

Dfreeman your right i don't think that he can just come back for the regions and state and take the 1 seed I don't see it happening but I do see him making a run at the state title again if he does come back up to heavy weight

I agree, he moves way better then the top heavyweights and he is very strong but he should have to earn it because what happened last year should not matter.

just remember, he only wrestled regionals last year and got the #1 seed in state, anything is possible in that weight class, the #6 seeded kid could win it as easy as the #1 kid could. It all depends on the day he is having.

Last year he only wrestled regionals and got the #1 seed, but he beat McCleary... the #2 seed last year, and i don't see McCleary getting that seed again this year so i don't see Bitz getting that 1 seed this year either. and what about Linton's regular HWT? are they just gonna toss him to the side and tell him he had a good season up until regionals but now he's done??? that hardly seems fair but whatever works best for the team i guess

Let's say that Bitz moves up for the regional and does beat mccleary... crocker's split w/him and hassler has beat him w/o splitting w/him, how does that effect them both for the state meet?
on the other hand lets say he moves up and McCleary beats him. then where does Bitz get seeded? also if McCleary did beat bitz.... defending state champ does that make his seed go up or since bitz hasn't wrestled this weight class all year does it make pretty much no effect??
