From the beginning of time who is the most dominating wrestler from North Dakota, who would you least like to meet on the mat and why. There are a lot of talented individuals to pick from. I think this can be an interesting post. please reply

i dont know of any wrestlers out there that are willing or thrilled at the thought of going out on the mat to face Marc Mellmer. that kid is a machine, he executes everything perfectly and has a lightning quick shot.

Marc Mellmer is a talented wrestler, but I said from the beginning of time for North Dakota wrestling. Marc still has one or two years of High School wrestling

My opinion, during the late '70s and '80s, class A ruled I know this is very debatable. I can give you some examples, David Hilliard a college mate of mine "a great guy" probably would of only won one title in class A. That doesn't mean he was not a great wrestler, he was!! I do not live in North Dakota anymore, I live in Illinois and still follow wrestling very closely. My nominations in the lower classes: Brent Maughan, class B, Humphrey Brothers from Carrington, No. 1 no question Steiner Brothers, Randy Burwick, middleweights, Paul Syvrud, Andy Decoteau, one of my favorite to watch was Marvin Fiest?sp from Minot Ryan , Peron Brothers?sp from Grand Forks Central upper weights, Kurt Lesser, Mike Haas Valley City, Scott Kelly, I know what is a couple wrestlers that I forgot, one from Grand Forks and believe his name was Bob Fowler. Any comments, I do enjoyed talking wrestling!!

I would like to correct my earlier post. It is Lance Mogren not Leroy. I was told that kids would refuse to wrestle him.

Not to take anything away from beau, but i dont think that the rest of the feild at 189 that year was that good. Had Wade Kittleson went down there Beau wouldn't have pinned everyone that year. I have heard alot of stories about Lance Mogren like that. Didnt he break his opponents neck or something like that his junior year in the state championship?

Troy Sabot and Marc Mellmer. They are the most physical wrestlers to come along in a long time. But if you want to turn back the time machine, how about Rick Nechiporenko of Velva? He pinned everyone and was dodged his whole senior year.(1976) No one wanted to wrestle him.
