Brandon Lemer from Harvey. He won his first state title in under 2 minutes and 58 seconds the first year. Is there any wrestler who took a state title under that? He also repeated in the the same weight clas the following year. Lemer also won the TRIPLE CROWN twice.

Anyone remember Lenny DeCoteau from Belcourt? He wrestled HWT in the early 90's. Was a two time state champion, took third his freshman year, with only one loss and didn't even wrestle his senior year! Career record 105-1-1, I knew guys that were supposed to be tough but didn't want anything to do with him. He went to the tournament in Las Vegas one year, pinned everyone under two minutes, including that years Freestyle National Champion! Now Lenny, is involved with the World Strongman Competition had has taken as high as third in one! To me, he was the most dominante wrestler that I have ever seen.

I would have to say BHS early 80's - Brent Hoffner,Steve Boutrous Andy Leer, and maybe our good convict friend, Guy Chase! That was back in the day when the cradle, a move that is guaranteed to pin, was used like the wind blows...wonder why the wrestlers of today don't get old school and use that move. The 90's - d**n
near any wrestler from the BHS '92 Team...Kringlie, Renner, Welder, Giese. Let's not forget the Ryan Bauer's and Jamie Schmidt's. They caused their share of headaches in their time. Personally, I've gone head to head with Bauer and Schmidt and I kicked them around...and I'm a girl ;D

I can't believe what I am hearing! Some of you guys that are saying that mellmer and other recent guys are the dominant wrestlers of all time in North Dakota better get back to reality. The Steiners and Kasey Gilliss were All-Americans at the U of Iowa and Gilliss was a Cadet world SIlver Medalist, Junior worlds Bronze Medalist. The steiners were awsome! Even Seeger and Renner.
But to put Mellmer, eric sabot and lang in the same catagory is rediculous. They have to put in their time first. Give a little respect to the past.

I don't know which Pazdernik brother you are talking about but Mark was a national champion for NDSU and Mike probably would have been a couple time all-american had he not had shoulder problems. How can you say they sucked???

How about those 87 Carrington Cardinals and 88 Century Patriots as far as best teams ever in ND. Coming from Carrington we had Mike Peterson-3 time state champ 1 time runner-up beat both Steiners when they were at his weight. Jeremy Wolf-3 time state champ 1 time runner-up Lance Koenig-3 time state champ 1 time 4th place Jason Wagner-2 time state champ 1 time runner-up Steve Copenhavor-undefeated state champ and 3 time placer. Plus many more state placers these guys were all between 1987-1989. As far as Century goes there is not even a team close to as good as they were. I'll just mention a few names and I'm sure I will forget someone so don't jump all over me. Monty Trusty Both Steiners Trent Gillis Jon Gums John Korwin Mike McCormick Karl Lemke I believe they had 9 in the finals that year but I'm not sure its been to long but I'm sure mister Gums remembers!

Mike Pazdernik was a 3 time all-american. He did not use his last year of elgibility or else he would have been a 4x all american.

Div. 2 is a joke now days! There are not that many wrestling teams out there any more because of title IX and it has really hurt NAIA, Div. 3 and Div. 2 Hell almost everyone qualifies for nationls.
