Just heard on the news that Bismarck beat Dickinson by one point. So lets hear about all the matches. We've been waiting. ;-)

It was a great dual for wrestling!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dickinson had a 17 point lead with 112, 119 & 125 left. Bismarck got three pins to win by 1 point. Wow was it a fun dual to watch as a fan!
Thanks for the fun wrestlers it made my year in wrestling so far!

I will have a match by match lay out in less then an hour or two with a detailed account for each match..
It was exciting. I haven't been to an "A" Dual with that amount of energy in a very long time.
I will post the match summary in the 02 Dual Results ND very soon.
Jon Gums Sorry about the wait.

It's up, sorry about the wait. Technology proves to be my downfall last night..... I really wanted to put up updates. Match by match... But my connection to a server was incompatible. Something to work on for next year...
Please check out the results of the Showdown in the West. match by match, in the results of duals section.

A point of clarification for Train_2_Win. The 275 match was not a DQ. It was only the first stalling point against the Bismarck kid. It happened in OT so the match was over when the stalling was awarded.

Thanks to everyone who turned out for the DHS/BHS dual. It was great for wrestling. Thanks to Jon Gums for covering the dual and all the work you do on this website. There were a couple of oversites in the article, though. Brett Holinka is only a junior and our 275 pounder last night was Kurt Holinka, not Mike Flohr. Thanks.

Sorry, my mind tries to go much faster than my typing skills. however I did say that it was a stalling call and that it was in OT as you can see from my quote. The DQ was a poor choice of words.
"at HWT the Dic wrestler won on a stalling call in OT. Who DQs a HWT for stalling? To tell you the truth neither wrestler was doing much!"
Anyway it was a great meet to watch!!

Anyone who was at this match yesterday must have thought they got the bargain of a lifetime. The gym was jammed packed full of crazy, loud, energetic, wrestling fans. The band was so loud you had to yell at the person sitting right next to you. Our fans got there early and thought we had quite a few of Bismarck fans who traveled to see this matchup. By the start of the dual we felt out numbered. When Dickinson won it was loud, when Bismarck won it was loud. Great fans are what helps make this sport the best. I have to take my hat off to all the wrestlers. There were no loosers in this dual. Each and everyone of the wrestlers tried their best .Unfortunately someone has to win and someone has to loose. I feel this was a big gut check for some of the wrestlers last night. This could only lead up to a great state tournament.

This duel was goodbut i didn't figure that it would come down this close. after the dual some dickenson wrestler hade a bad attitude towards the demons but who wouldn't after a one point upset. I think that the last three maches were big i want to exstend the great job done by t.j sailer, scotti glasser, and travis lang. they all did a great job I would also like to say great job to the midgets exept for those with the nasty attitude.
