OKAY, LABER WAS AND IS STILL ONE OF THE MOST DOMINATING WRESTLERS THIS STATE HAS SEEN SO WHY DONT WE JUST LEAVE IT AT THAT.
p.s.- i want to see lack wrestle laber in a folkstyle match, if he can take it to piper, im about 400% sure he can take it to lack!!!

how can you say laber is a dominate wrestler, when the kid this year has beaten a number of d1 kids, he has been in the finals 3 out of 4 tourneys, the only his only losses in college is to the same 2 kids and has came back and beat 1 of the already and they are both in d2
and he is wrestling 197 but when he weighs in he usually weighs in at about 194 he is half the size of half the people he wrestles tome that makes he expecially dominate, and it shows his true love for the great sport
good luck at nationals jesse

I can't believe what I am hearing! Some of you guys that are saying that mellmer and other recent guys are the dominant wrestlers of all time in North Dakota better get back to reality. The Steiners and Kasey Gilliss were All-Americans at the U of Iowa and Gilliss was a Cadet world SIlver Medalist, Junior worlds Bronze Medalist. The steiners were awsome! Even Seeger and Renner.
But to put Mellmer, eric sabot and lang in the same catagory is rediculous. They have to put in their time first. Give a little respect to the past.

What are some of you thinking? Putting Laber, Lack, Irmen, etc, etc as "the most dominating wrestlers ever"? I watched Kasey Gillis score a first period technical fall in the state finals his senior year, and Troy Sabot walk through the field to his FOURTH state title. These guys were animals in a day when North Dakota wrestling was still competitive throughout the country.

The thing about those guys in the late 80's like the steiners and monte trusty etc. and the 90's with Gilliss, sabot and Welder, they wrestled all summer in the toughest freestyle tournaments in the nation and they almost always won.
