Anybody out there see Amb from MPCG wrestle yet? Just wondering how is doing and if he has beaten anybody good this year. It seems like a lot of those Region 2 teams in the NE never wrestle any tough ND tournaments. Then they go into state with pretty good records but end up at the back of the pile. Just wondering if Amb can give Imdieke, Klein, or Mcleary a run?

He is a tough legrider but was beat this last weekend in Larimore by Jordan Dewald of Grand Forks Red River. He was beat early in the year by Melhoff of Cavalier so he has only been beat twice. You are correct though, he hasn't wrestled anybody whose ranked pretty high so my own opinion is he wouldn't compete with those 3 wrestlers; Imdieke, Klein, of McCleary.

Amb could be a high placer... but no, probably not higher than those other three... it was adam Dewald that beat him this weekend, and Andy Melhoff is from North Border, not Cavalier... and melhoff only has about a 500 win/loss record this year so either he got lucky or amb isn't as great as his 2-loss record indicates

just to set the record straight for cowcatcher...
melhoff is from north border, not cavalier. cody werven is the 152 pounder from cavalier.

152# is a stacked weight class, I think. You have Imdieke, Klein, McCleary, Chilson, Amb- any of these wrestlers could be in the championships. Even tho Imdieke has not been beaten- he is an awesome wrestler- but not unbeatable. I remember his finals 2 years ago when he was the underdog and beat Henderson from Hettinger. Klein has a shot at beating him.

I don't think that Klein will get past McCleary if they meet in the semifinals. I think though after Klein and McCleary the competition drops off pretty sharply.

Imdieke is a pretty good 152#, Klein met him in the finals at the Hettinger Classic, but just couldn't do it. I think Klein does have the potential to give Imdieke a run for his money. Klein and Imdieke can beat McCleary, but I predict Ben Imdieke to be the Class B 152# State Champ come the end of this month.

It would take a genius to figure out that Imdieke will win state i think that it will be him and Amb in the state finals, unless they get put in the same bracketin that case i think Amb would get beat and It would be klein and Imdieke in the championship. This is one of the toughest weight classes in the state it will be a great state tournement.

I don't know Ben Imdieke but I know his father Dan and I know that Ben is a level above the competetion and he will not let himself lose he is to good. And as for Amb making the finals not a chance he isn't strong enough and he isn't a good enough legrider to be able to control the outcome of a match with his legs if he is wrestling someone who is good and that is his only weapon.

I agree Imdeike will win 152#, but I get tired of all the talk at the heavier weight classes and wanted to get some discussion going at 152. I think there are many good wrestlers here and they get little recognition. Have a nice day.

I think 152 is one of the weaker classes...Ben Imdieke is pretty much untouchable by anyone in the weights around him. Everyone just tries to stay away from him that is tuff. Sure Klien and Mcleary are good wrestlers but but them up or go down a weight class and they wouldn't place near as high as they will at 152.

i agree 152 is extremely weak, imdieke will basically dominate the state.

Amb isn't no pushover, I saw his match against Chilson from Vellva Garison and he had the speed and the strength to keep up with him. the only problem was that he couldn't do anything for Chilsons length and only won 2-0. I think he's got a good chance to be in the finals with Imd**e
. He's a good wrestle whos learned to use something else besides legs, but can still use them extreamly well. But for how stacked this weight is it could be any of the 4, Imd**e
, McLeary, Klein or Amb for how it's going that get to the finals. Imd**e
hasn't improved much from last year so all will be CLOSE compatition with each other

Yea, now that you mention it I looked it up and Amb PINED Klein in the last 2 state tournaments. Amb never faced him before that and hasn't this year, but by the records look, I think Amb will be the one to go to the finals with Imdieke
