bbad2k,
I agree that Mahlum would have been seeded had he wrestled more matches this year, but he had some limitations. I know he couldn't lift his arm all the way over his head until just recently and he didn't want to rush his return like he did last year and end up wrestling state with just one arm. So physically he wrestled the most matches he could this year. As for him defaulting at regionals i know Kyle would not just default out unless he was in quite a bit of pain so those should not count against him.

Cream usually comes to the top thats true but i've seen it whipped so bad on occation, it sometimes turns into butter! If the cream turns sour it can accually become cheese... But to be the creme ala cream //you need a little cream, aged and flavored with seasoning/handled with respect...Much like a good wrestler!

the best wrestlers are gonna do some creamin this weekend regardless of their seeds, you can't win a match on paper so who cares if you have a bad seed! I'm willing to bet that it is the goal, or maybe even dream of every wrestler in the state tourny and a lot more not in it and if they want to reach this they are going to do a lot more than attain a high seed!

Coach,
Amb is far from overated even if he did get beat bye melhoff he got beat very early in the season and recovered very well. That is his only loss at 152 in class B. And werven has beaten melhoff a number of times this season and Amb beat Werven so i think he is seated where he is supposed to be.

130 in class B is probably the most loaded weight with any of the top 6 being able to win it and 125 is also loaded but I can't see anyone upsetting either Hase or Kerr. Should be a great championship match, Kerr really impressed me at the East-West.

The criteria for the state seeding meeting is correct. If we dont go by the first part of the season noone would wrestle the first part of the season. And mueller has lost to more kids than that ,Kittelson has already beaten him this year. And Kittelson has been beaten this year as well thats what makes it hard for hillsboro. They might wrestle towards the west once or twice but if they have a bad day they never get to change that cause they never see them again.

Velva used to be good about wrestling all the tough tournaments but since Garrison came on board they haven't. If you want to get a good seed in class B you better wrestle the east/west. How many times have we seen a kid come into state with a great record from the northeast or northwest and get seeded ahead of someone who is better. A good example is last year at 130,Henderson and Irmen wrestle each other in the east/west final and Henderson wins in 2OT but who gets seeded first some kid from Menoken with a 33-0 record well Henderson beats Irmen in 2OT again and Sinner loses to the #1 seed in OT. Henderson wins the championship match easily and Irmen beats Sinner 12-2 for 3rd. I'm sorry I can't remember the kid from Menoken's name but my point is if you wrestle the best competition that should count for something and if you don't you should be seeded lower even if you are undefeated.

that wasnt menoken, that had to have been rugby it was david folden the returning 125 pound state champ he was no pushover and henderson beat him by 1 or 2 in the champiionship (henderson did not have an easy win in the championship)

1 or 2 is better then 2 OT and Irmen would have beaten Folden. Who did Folden beat to deserve the#1 seed.

i guess folden went into OT with bastings and henderson got teched by him...... but im sure he got seeded first because he took state the year before and was undefeated

That is another thing, the previous year should not matter, the weight classes change alot from year to year. I know lots of people who placed 2nd or 3rd one year and didn't place the next. Because he was a returning state champ the year before doesn't give him the #1 seed the next year. When did Henderson lose to Bastings and which tournament was it?
