i believe the 103 class to be acceptable, 98 was not. Just look back at all the junior highers that wrestled and made a name for themselves..... the Pazdernick brothers, Mike Berg, Nathan Brennan, Rick Jore, Mike Peterson, Jeff Enzminger, Chuck Seamonds, and there are a whole bunch more... way to many to list. But the point is that these kids stepped up and entered high school wrestling at a younger age, and they were successful. They may have had more success because of wrestling varsity while in junior high. Granted, these boys had some natural god given talent, but they were able to hone there skills at an earlier age than some. AND.... if you recall, New Salem rarely had a full line-up. But i feel if we are able to allow younger kids an opportunity to wrestle at a varsity level and they are junior highers, i think it is up to that individual himself to make a decision whether or not to wrestle at that level.

Yes, it is a good weight class. But what would it hurt to bump it up a few pounds. This would be easier on the kids who are cutting weight to make weight at 103. Also it could get more high schoolers involved in this weight class. Also it wouldn't be such a big hole in between 12 and 3 for them who can't cut down to 3, but also can't get enough weight to weight around 12. I think bumping it a few pounds would help a lot.
