Miller Wrestling Program Axed

At Miller's Feb. 10 school board meeting, wrestling, and 4 other programs--golf, Xcountry, gymnastics, & oral interp--will be eliminated, unless local support can come up with funding for these activities.

No easy answers to budget problems.....but this is ominous "solution."

I count 3 current Miller wrestlers now in the rankings. Pretty storied program to cut. Districts will be held there this Saturday.

How close was the tax opt out last summer when they voted?

Is their a chance of it passing...
I talked to the president of the bank last summer and he really couldn't believe that people in Miller were not supporting the school.

Remember cutting programs in a school is the start of a dying community. "or is it the Killing of a Community?

I don't know exact vote tally in the last one. I do know it was the second failed attempt to opt-out.
