Obviously Yankton is the clear favorite following their streak ending win over Sturgis. But I'm not going to count out the Scoopers just yet.
The big question is not the As but the Bs. The state dual and individual team titles are wide open in the "B" in my opinion ! Perhaps Parkston has the edge in the individual tournament?

I agree Yankton has to be the favorite, but I have not seen any results of winner facing any of the big guys. They are solid also.

Yankton beat Winner by 9. Winner was without there 135 pounder that night, Ryan Orel (the one that took Nate Hanson to overtime). Had he wrestled and won a decision instead of a giving up a forfiet, the duel would have ended tied. But there were 13 other matches that could have changed a lot too.

I think it will be close between Winner and Yankton... I'm not sure about the others, but I feel that those two teams will be in finals and will be a good dual

I think yankton will win the dual tournament. We wrestled them last night and it was close at first but they killed us at the end. We would have had to wrestle a perfect dual to beat them. If anybody has a chance to beat them its winner or watertown.

Hey BvWrestler, You mentioned wrestling ykt. the other night. I was at that match and was really wondering.. Is the flu really going around Brandon? Seemed apparent as your jv roster was almost zilch and some of your vars. guys just didn't seem to have Brandon's normal get up and go. For your sake, I do hope it was the flu, or next year, you're team has much rebuilding to do. Good Luck.

leapinlizards,
the flu is goin around our team. thats not the excuse for the reason we lost but we have been pretty sick lately(i was the one puking his guts out after my match for like 30 mins). but we dont really have a jv team...3 people to be exact and we lose 9 seniors this year so they are gonna have alot of rebuilding to do next year. I think we had a chance to beat them if a couple matches went a differnt way and if our HWT would have been there...do you agree? Thanx for the support.

hey why is everyone one the yankton and winner band wagon. the last 2 years who were the teams in the finals watertown-scoopers watertown should of won both of them too do not look past watertown on anything even the individual tourn. watertown should have four state champs this yeat olson, englehart, bludorn, lindsey plus they have a lot of other wrestlers that wrestle tough. im just telling you guys not to look by watertown, thats all

BVwrestler215, No problem. Though I was there to see Yankton win, I love high school wrestling and love to see good matches. Brandon Valley is always a formidable opponant of YHS in football and wrestling, and the matchups between them are always exciting no matter what the outcome. I'm not so sure Brock Scott could have beat Frick. When Frick wrestles his own match, he is dynamite. Scott is good, I'll grant him that, but I think Frick could have beat him. oh, and btw, I figured it was you puking cuz you had just beat my son. lol Good match!

BVwrestler215,
You could be right.. might have been a better dual.
and we just might meet up at state.. in fact, I'd even say hi and cheer for you... unless you were wrestling my son! Good Luck for the remainder of the year!
