Why don't you jump up to 135 this weekend so you can wrestle Kyle Sorensen from Nebraska? Kid is a 2x state champion, 3x finalist. He's at 135.

derek is already bumpin up a weight class to 130..this is his little bro and he should be at 25, but our team is better with me at 25 and him at 30 so he's at 30..i think we might switch before districts tho...he's gonna wrestle 19 at seniors this year though....

Ahh that is too bad would be a great matchup. You'll have at least one good match with a state-runnerup from last year large school in Nebraska. Remember the new rules for senior nationals this year-have to make weight one time during the year at the weight you wrestle at Seniors.

At 103 there are 2 studs- One is a freshman named Victor Weideman who is a 4x Tulsa National Champion and a Cadet Freestyle All American this past summer in Fargo. He is among the elite young wrestlers in the nation. There is the #2 rated kid from Iowa large school Jeff Miller of Sioux City East.
112-don't think there are any real good kids here
125-Cody McNeal of Omaha North a state runner-up last year and ranked #2 in Nebraska now.
130-no one real great at this tourney. That's why I was hoping your brother would jump up a weight to wrestle Sorensen.
The #1 rated school that went to this tournament the past few years went to some Minnesota tournament this year so they had to drop it otherwise there would really be some studs.

so team wise, what's it look like for the real competetive teams? Do we have a chance at winning this tournament or not?

i change my answer about south dakota in comparison to nebraska....at 25, sutera would rip omaha north's mcneil apart, as would hansen with kyle sorenson at 35.

Hansen has beaten Clarke 2 times in his career by 3 points each time. Sorensen beat Clarke 12-2 and 6-5. It's highly unlikely that Hansen would be shredding Sorensen. As for McNeil he's a good wrestler but not great-he's been beaten by a freshman earlier this year. If you had come to this tournament a year earlier Brett Allgood would have manhandled you. We'll see what you SD boys can do out at senior nationals.
