I'm trying to figure out who I think is the best "a" wrestler at 171. I already know the best wrestler in the state at 171 is Sinclair (B). I was wondering everybodies opinion. I was thinking it was reiner (mitchell) but I see he took 3rd at Winner. Who beat him and what was the score? I see Broderson (lennox) gave sinclair a 7 point match. Not too shabby.

Broderson from Lennox pinned Riener, but we have seen that happen in the past with Riener. The next match between the two could be much different.
Moran on the other hand is the best class A 171 pounder. He made Novotony of winner look bad at Mitchell... and that is hard to do. Remember, Novotony beat Micheals in his home gym by 3 pts.
Moron looks very big and strong at 171. I thought he looked a little weak at 160 when I saw him at the Rapid tourney.

hmmm.... cant' remember..... Riener probably? I didn't get to see very many of the matches there.... It's hard to do anything but walk the halls at the mitchell tourney... no place to sit in that little cracker box of a gym...... PUBLIC ADDRESS = "your attention please, will the 140 pound weight class please report to down the hall, down the stairs, take a right and go thru the doors" ;D

Goose, I share your feelings on Mitchell's gym, but what an atmosphere for the finals with a packed house!!
Dvoracek of Wagner beat Moran in the semis, Reiner beat Novotny of Winner in the other semifinal.
Dvoracek and Reiner then had a great match in the finals, as (I think) someone mentioned in another post.

I was at Mitchell too. A suggestion for next year: CORN PALACE!! I mean that gym was full for the Yankton dual the night before!!

Moran I believe was at 160 at the Brookings tourney... because Kyle Broderson & Alec Bonander from West Lyon were in the Championship and Kyle beat Alec 12-10... Tyson lost to Alec in the semis

You are correct, 'ol great wrestling chick !
Moran got 1st in Brookings at 160. His semi final match against Bainter was a nail biter, however. He got a reversal in the last couple seconds to win.
Things are getting interesting
