Best wrestlers....what about the boys in Gregory I see that at the SE sd conference tourney in Scotland that Veskrma and Sinclair dropped down to 171 and 189. Is that a big shake up? Both ranked #1 and then dropped down

Don't get me wrong I think nate hansen is a great wrestler but I think miller is right Inhofer/hansen would be great match but inhofer would win. Somebody has to show me they can take him down. Nobody has scored on him all year.

Sorry I only have 1 kid. I did see in a past touney that Carda from Brandon Valley lost to Inhofer in a 3 to 1 match, a few weeks later Carda was beaten by Wallin from sf roosevelt 5-3. Maybe there is hope that someone will give inhofer a run at state. As far as inhofer vs Hansen, one guy they both have wrestled was the no.1 ranked b wrestler at 135 Meyer (parkston). Inhofer stuck him last weekend in 5:12, Hanson beat him real early in the season 20-8. Draw your own conclusions.
Another candidate for best wrester in the state has got to be Nick Smith of Yankton at 119, does anybody know who and when this kid was beaten last. I know he beat an awesome wrestler (#3 ranked Chas Welch) at the washington tourney.(stuck him in 2:53) He is a fricken animal.

one other person hansen and inhofer have both seen is orel, inhofer beat him 10-1 in mitchell. hansen goes 7-5 in ot with orel 2 weeks ago. Inhofer allready beat whallen this year 5-1 in sioux falls the same day he beat carda. Maybe he should move up and take on lemke, now that would be a great match

IN MY OPINION SAM NELSON 135 PUNDER FROM CANTON IS THE BEST WRESTLER TO EVER STEP ON THE MAT. THANKS You've got to be joking. No offense, Sam, I hope you are doing ok, but come on, that's a pretty bold statement considering we have someone named Lincoln McIlravy from SD who might read this and think, "Gee, have they forgotten about me already?"

i would have to say that the best right now is Nick Smith from Yankton at 119. he hasnt lost a match since last year at regions, and he stuck it to the kid who beat him in that match at state last year!! He is unstopible!!!

i cant imagine how you guys can post a message on the best wrestler in SD... i recently saw this zack johnson in action and... (dont get me wrong, he is a good wrestler) i only saw him do one move that really impressed me... and i hear this is the one move he uses in all his matchs... ive only seen him in one tournamet and he didnt impress me too much... he impressed me a little... but in my opinion he is not one of the best wrestlers in SD... i am a strong believer that anyone at any time can win a match, regardless of size and talent... in that same tournament and same weight group i witnessed my brother dominate the clark hwt... my bro is 6'2 230 pounds of twisted steal and sex appeal... but it is said he always looks like a lost puppy... and the clark kid if youve seen him... is really tall and ripped...a horse... and similar to johnson he only used one throw move... big joe (my bro) pinned him in like 45 sec... im talking total domination... he didnt throw in some headlock like some HWT live by... when the two faced off i know most of the people immediatly assumed joe was gonna lose just by his look alone... they didnt consider his 21-1 winning record before the tourny and that he is just a soph. I myself went through high school as a JV. in the HWT division(6-5 varsity record close loses to # 1 and 2 ranked) under Van Duyn and i watched him lose some matches he should have won... i also know the HWT line ups... most of the HWTs really arent that good... they are slow and they like to stall their way through a match... similar to most of the weight groups in de smit... i cant fathom how you can honestly say a 215 or hwt can even be mentioned in the top wrestlers in SD plus you shouldnt just assume that they have a unblemished record and some big wins that they are "The Best"... Mike veskerna is a monster and deserves to be on the board tho...

Zach is ranked 12th nationally at heavyweight..not bad considering he weighs about 240 on full feed. he deserves to be called the state's best

Are we forgetting about Jason Orel from Winner. The only South Dakota wrestler to beat him in the last two years was Tucker Micheals, and now he's out. Also, Nate Hanson has looked unstopable in the matches I've seen him wrestle. But Inhofer is probably the sure thing if their is one.
