One matchup that should be interesting on the class B side of it would be at 125# where it appears Levi Haugen is going. Also going there is Shane Haas from Harvey. Shane was suffering from some sort of spinal chord infection last year which caused him to ultimately bow out of the state tournament. Both are prior state champs and if Shane is healthy it should be awesome to watch as he is so deceptively strong and Haugen is a firesball (and Levi, regardless of what other people it's ok to know you are a stud.....as long as you can back it - and who can argue with your prior results). Train like a dog Shane and come back and give everyone a matchup to talk about. My pick..........if Haas is healthy I think he'll win.

Other than the Hase/ Haugen match, I think that Daniel Kerr from Killdeer along with Neil Veen From carrington could also give Haugen some tough matches, another person that should be in the mix of things is, Ryan Nagel from Linton. Overall when it comes to the finals at state i would put hase vs. Kerr, if they all stay injury free.

If all of these studs in class B North Dakota don't aviod each other and are in the same class it will one of the toughest of all time. If Hase wins it he sure as Heck better get Mr. Wrestler. If Haugen wins it you should all get off his back because it takes alot of guts to not avoid those other guys. My pick it is gonna be a bAttle and the best warrior will come though. I hope its hase because you couoldn't meet a better person that has had to overcome so much this last year that few people know about.

Shane Hase beat Levi Haugen in Velva on Saturday, and another wrestler, russell Vetter, from Harvey beat Curt Lennik from center on Friday, good luck to these two, and have a great year.

Wow were those two matches ever ones to surprise a person. I think this year is going to be more unpredictable then ever. After seeing Haugen and Lennik, i donno. But i think everyone that should come out on top, will...

haugen/hase was a 0-2 decsion on a reversal lennick/vetter was a 6-4 decsion i belive but i'm not sure on the score cause the the scorekeeper gave a 1 point escape to the wrong wreslter and it took them about 5 minutes to clear it up

haugen is a psycho-he'll be real tough. hase is a good wrestler but he's a rough time the last couple state tourney's. I'm picking kerr to come out on top,but anything can happen

Hase beat Haugen again at the Carrington Multiple this weekend. The final score was 3-0. Lennick from Center also came back this weekend and beat Vetter from Harvey 14-7.

Not surprised by haas beating haugen 3 - 0. I have a feeling everytime they wrestle you will see the spread be a little more. Now that Haas knows he can take down haugen it should be interesting. Lennick getting beat was (not to downplay vetter who is a stud) somewhat of a fluke in my opinion, as i think he just needed a little time to adjust to the bigger stronger kids.
