to bill. You must think you know your nuts
. first of all Holinka is not the one to beat at 189. Jordan Engelahardt may wrestle at 189 and also play basketball. If he does he will be the one to beat at189. And yes he is Alex's brother. Also I think you have no right to talk nuts
about Engelhardt. I've wrestled with him and his work ethic has come a long way and WILL BE THE 1 TO BEAT..... Another thing is how are you to predict anything before the first match has even be wrestled. Alot can change in the next 4 months.

While I'm not at liberty to comment specifically about Alex, I will say there are medical conditions such as clinical depression, bi-polar disorder, etc., which affect a persons behavior. Couple that with experiencing all of the "teenager pressures" that occur and you can see there are explanations for irrational behavior. These conditions are very real. Personally, Alex has been a handful to coach, but I have not given up on him. Where would someone who struggles with these types of issues be without athletics to give them a chance to become successful? Alex's teachers are very complimentary of him this year--and I honestly feel he has turned the corner. I'm hoping I've enlightened many of you who are critical of him to maybe give him another chance. He does have a very nice side.

I know Alex and Jordan Englehardt both personally. Both are fantastic kids and excellent athletes. Alex is going to win state hands down this year if it's what he wants to do. Does he have some issues? sure, but who doesn't........(I can't walk and chew gum at the same time). After knowing the Englehardt family (and wrestling a ton with them -- more then i wanted) I know that any one of them can do whatever they put there mind to. Good luck Alex and Jordan on the season, I'm sure both of you will be standing on the top of the podium in Minot in February if that's what you want. ps....Jordan, get rid of the roundball! ;D

Oh, Holinka's not the one to beat?? That's ok, think what you will now, but when the State Tourney rolls around in February, the Holinka boys will have the last laugh as Brett goes home with a trophy!

I agree that Marv Staus has shown great improvement from last year, but in the finals there is no way he will able to even keep it close with Sailer. Sailer will demolish him.

I believe that Staus was beat by Sailer 4-3 in OT at the Mandan tournament. Both wrestlers would have to go in two different directions to see someone get demolished. I know for a fact that M. Staus has recorded 62 high school wrestling matches and is a junior in high school. This to me means that every match he wrestles in, equals improvement. I believe you wouldn't see this young man's best wrestling until next year.(As he gains experience) I'm sure everybody will wrestle better as the year goes on - hoping to peak at the state tournament. It will be interesting to see what happens come year end. Chris
