What is the most effective takedown? My opinion is HI C to a double, or Firemans.

I would like to know what a rico roll is. Can you explain what this move is. My favorite take down is an inside trip from an over / under. That move takes your apponent out of a match quick, they don't have a clue what hit them.

the best move is the one that results in 2 points and eventually 6 team points... it just depends on who you are. but i like the headsnap... easy, can be brutal, gets the job done, and if you don't get the two your'e gonna wear down on your oponents neck real fast

hey superdave, like i said im not sure this is the technical name for it but thats wat we call it. anyway its more of a counter but can but used as an ofensive move. It starts when your opponent goes to a single or high crotch. You would go into a "wrangler"(underhook in one hand and the chin in the other) then jam your knee that your opponent has into his chest then roll backwards by the time you stop your in a grapevine position and it usually ends with a pin.

it depends on the person using to what is effective for them, but i would say my favorite takedown is the sweeping single. quick easy 2 points, never carrying your opponents weight.

I like the "rico roll"...but we call it the Vandewater. It works great in stick situations that usually ends up in a pin for you. I also love the firemans if you can hit that deep. If you can hit that deep, the Hi-C is a great one for you too. I start my firemans from a wrist...and then as soon as I go to hit my knees...i grab that tricep..they are expecting a hi-c that way. Also, in that situation, you can throw that arm back instead of going for the firemans and hit the Hi-C. But when you attempt that move, make sure you know the kelly. The Kelly is where your man sprawls out on you while doing the firemans. What you do here is grab that arm you have tight, and kick our your leg to the opposite side you have the arm. Turn the hips strongly, and cover their chest.

I would deffinetly have to agree with the firemans. Its almost like most wrestlers dont realize they can Kelly carry out of a sprawl. As long as you have a good grip on the tricep and pull it tight to the mat, you almost cant be stopped from turning your hips and running around to cover the body. Very effective move.

I think the high C is the most effective you go through the same hands and steps as the inside step single but have many different choices for finishes. A lot of college coaches really preech it.

I like the "sneaky firemans"... its where you shoot in like your shooting a bad high C, and let them catch your arm in an underhook, than just dump like a firemans... its superb... and who can forget the headlock
