Wrestler 71:
With regardto the Grand Forks Tournament. The shifting aroung at the 130, 135, and 140 pound matches was confusing to me also until I thought about it for awhile.
Ryan (130) was supposed to wrestle Borah (130): instead he wrestled a young man from the JV (I think he was a JV'r). This young man was all legs and arms and Ryan had a hard time collecting it all together in a ball small enough to pin him - just to much to gather together in one spot I guess. The young man did loose by tech fall to Ryan But I agree that he deserves credit for the good work he did do - Good Job - from Ryan (Don't remember his name but I would like the West Fargo coach to pass that on to the young man)
Borah (130) wrestled up at 135. The Junior from Bismarck was Phil Nieman who did a respectful job with Borah. (If you recall -Phil was also the same person who wrestled up to 125 last year against Sebilius at the State final Duals against West Fargo when Ryan wrestled up to 130. which gave Bismarck a 3 point advantage - now that was good strategy by BHS Coaches) Phil is a very good wrestler and I think that we will see more of him this year too. By putting Phil in at 135 against Borah - Mike Lund (135) was then moved up to 140 against Sebilius. The Sebilius/Lund match would have been a good one to see but did not materialize because W Fargo forfeited the match to BHS.(That was strange). Interesting changes from 130 to 145 that I am sure will be used this year again in the West Fargo Dual at State. Actually, there are several very good wrestlers from 125 through 145 on the BHS JV that could be substitue for the Varsity spots - We have been blessed by this and I am sure that Scott and Schnmacher see it too.
Never-the-less all of the JV people who wrestled in this West Fargo dual did a very good job against tough opponents. Good People with Good Coaching but hard to follow unless you think about it for awhile.
Dickinson should be very interesting.

All Respondents:
I tried to find the category where one young man said that he did not like Mark Mellmer because of his lack of sportsmanship. He cited that Mark did not shake Ryans hand after the Rotary Match and I wanted to correct that - Mark did shake Ryans hand and so did Mr. Michaelson.

Thank you for clariflying that, I was the one wondering why that person did not like Marc Mellmer, and it really took me by surprise that Marc would not shake Stockert's hand, but thanks for telling us what actually happened!!

Mark Mellmer is a good wrestler and i like watching his matches he is aggresive but from what i have seen he is cheap. I think if he toned it down a little bit it wouldnt have cost him the match against stockert
