How do the Hettinger coaches, fans and wrestlers feel about his subject, especially Brandon Henderson? It's too bad he got hurt in the duals and couldn't compete in the individual tourney.

Actually, they're talking about doing the entire dual tournament on Thursday and the individual on Friday and Saturday. Less sitting around for individuals.

I would say it is all about the gate receipts. The NDHSAA will look at how they can make the most $. This would eliminate expense for alot of towns who qualify for the individual's only. But they (NDHSAA) want as many people to stay the longest amount of time and spend some more time in the city spending more $. I think the dual's on Thursday only, would be fine. Whoever gets the tournament in the future needs to provide more room for the kids to warm up, PERIOD. Alot of the injuries can be prevented from proper warm up.

I think that they should have the individual FIRST and the Duals last. Have Individual on Thursday and Friday, and then have Duals on Saturday. It gives the wrestlers that are in Individuals and team to put everything out there for the championship. Not to diss the Dual team tournament. I think it is an awesome thing to have. But I think that doing both and being fully able to wrestle for 1st place, you can't have the duals in there at the same time. It is way too hard. Look at some of the boys that had to default because they get hurt in the duals. It kind of bites when you have a shot at being the State Individual Champion and you didn't make it that far because you were injured because of your participating in the dual team. It seems more sensible to have it different days. If the North Dakota High School Association is worried about the turn out of the crowds on Saturday, I don’t think that they would have much to worry about. Most people if they had the chance would watch the duals. And if you are in town for wrestling why not go?! ;D

Ask Bismarck High and Napoleon if you cant compete in both at the same time! Im sure they will tell you yes, if you train hard and go to tuffer competitions all year. Bismarck has won All 4 Dual Championships and 3 Individual titles to go with those 4 all at the same time.
You never hear the top few teams complain about the two being held together, It is always the teams who cant pull it off or have no shot at it!
