Century has had a ton of great wrestlers and alot more state champions... But talent while at Century? ? is a toss up... Everyone knows the dedication the Steiners had... I have never seen men work so hard for what they wanted in my life... Naturally talented??? There has definately been Century individuals given greater ability... I really think they had a goal and they never let anything get in its way.. Know most talented... probably Kasey Gillis.... But things got in the way of the national championship.. Sabot... definately very talented... and I believe could do great things beyond high school, I guess we'll have to wait and see. Seeger, if you have to put high school as the only thing on his resume then he would not make the list... he was only a one time state champion... But when it came to college.... He was dominating as so fun to watch... I would have to say he is close to the top of my list.... Mike front headed me one time in practice... the next thing I remember was the stars I saw after coming around, being choked off was a new experience and I will never forget it... John Korwin was also high on my list as great Century wrestlers....(John never wrestled in college)...yes John Korwin.... People feared John... and his leg breaking double.. Good old Monte Trusty.... also so talented he sometimes really didn't know what to do... We used to say if Monte only would use his brain he would be dangerous....All Fun off the mat... All Business on the mat... Scott B. Turned out to be a great college wrestler in (SD) wrong state... Ha.. Ha.. I enjoyed watching Scott at the D II tournament... He always seemed to wrestle well against NDSU..... The list goes on and on... Just like most schools have their traditions and great wrestler of the past.. We all love wrestling so we speculate... and move on.. watching the next generation of great wrestlers..
