Lang won it, defeating the very tough Fesler from perennial power Apple Valley 5-2.

I am going to back up JJ Nelson's assessment of 125. Kerr practices with the Dickinson Wrestling Club. He and Halvorson are very close in talent. Jay may even have the upper hand. Lang is just that good. He would do what he did to Halvorson to anyone else, class A or B at 125. He would have a very tough time if he came up to the next weight classes. Remember, last year, when they were the same weight, Basting beat Lang in the spring.

I have to agree with jjnelson as well. I really think that a Halverson match against Hase or Kerr would be very close with the outcome going really either way. Travis Lang thoroughly impressed me this last weekend with his skills throughout the tournament. I really think that the only close matches he would have would be if he bumped up to wrestler some bigger opponents. I really would love to see a match between Lang and Mellmer. Perhaps one day in college.

I think it was freestyle not positive, but very exciting! What weight is Travis going to be at next year? Also why do people always say that Travis should move up or do this so he can wrestle someone? Why aren't other people moving so they can wrestle Travis?

I can't resist commenting on Tanka64's comment that Flynn would beat Murphy. I think anyone who had a chance to watch Seth wrestle at the state tournament would agree that he would beat Flynn! Murphy makes few, if any mistakes when he wrestles and he has such strength and agility that he is able to control the match! But I do think a match between he and Flynn would make for good watch'en! (FYI: Also Seth is not a bull rider he is a steer wrestler and a calf roper.)

i would bet a good amount of money on murpy over flynn, both very good wrestlers but murphy is obviously better.

bastings beat lang in freestyle at state after he cut down, and i personally think that white would be ben because he is, in my opinion, a better wrestler and he has had better competition

Smarvin, Would you want to perposly move just so you can wrestle Travis. I know I wouldnt. It would be fun just to see first hand just how good he really is.(which is really good from a spectator's view) But I just dont see people lining up to wrestle him. Just my opinion.

Mat rat, You bet pretty high stakes against imdieke. He could've tech falled that amb in the finals if he would've taken him down and let him up. I gave been all the credit in the world. Everyone told him not to take the down position since this guy is a great legrider. He went down twice and still crushed him. if he'd wrestle on his feet he would've tech fouled amb in the second. As far as white, I bet Ben pushes him to the max!! just have to wait till freestyle tourney and may the best wrestler get the triple crown!!!! Matrat, make sure and send me a picture of ben and the 3 foot triple crown trophy!! ;-)and if he would lose to white, so what, Ben is only a JUNIOR!! Ben's a great wrestler and a great kid and deserves all the credit i give him!
