Last year at that tournament the teams were... Devils Lake, Valley City, Turtle Mountain, Cavalier, parts of Carrington's team, Bismarck St. Mary's, GF Central, GF Red River, New Town, and i know that this year North Border (walhalla) is attending. I might have forgot a few teams, but that is who i could think of. See ya there

Big injury news. Phil Basting broke his hand fifteen seconds in to his finals match against Joey Irmen. He'll probably be out until Regionals. 112 and 119 will be loaded in Devils Lake. And sorry Greenwood, heavyweight won't. No Bonnett, Blaufuss or Crocker. Hats off to Napoleon and Carrington for strong Rotary showings. If B schools really want to prove themselves, that's the best way.

Sorry to hear the news on Phil. Any advice would be not to rush back too soon. I have seen too many guys rush back with real injuries and come tournament or big match time, they are at 50%. With Phil & Covington out, that really depletes the RR lineup. Any word if Covington is coming back this year??

Well I agree that the HWT class won't be stacked like some of the other weights but it should still be a decent one. I know that Duane Martin Jr. is a good HWT and if i remember correctly Matt Danks took 4 in class "A" last year... I haven't seen many of the other HWTs in this tourny so maybe some of the other schools have some good ones too... no disrespect to anyone whatsoever, but this will certainly be a better HWT tourny than in Rolla so i'm still looking forward to it a lot ... Good Luck to everyone there!!!

To CavalierHwt: How did the Devils Lake Trny go? What team took it? How did the Heavy Weights line up?

I see the results of the DL trny posted on the other site. Congratulations on your win Cavilier HWT. After seeing D.Martin Jr. wrestle at the Bis Rotary, I figured you could beat him.

The HWT bracket wasn't quite as hard as what i had expected, I heard that something happened to Matt Danks from Bismarck St. Mary's, and he won't be able to wrestle anymore? anyone know the story there? he was real good last year and i'm sure he would have made the tourny more competitive. Also i saw that Valley City was in Lisbon last weekend, they had been a regular in the DL tourny as long as i can remember... Hey, Covington, Glad you made it back, you looked sharp out there, good luck the rest of the season and i'm glad we got to have such a nice conversation in DL!

I dont have the medical term, but he has a neck injury that will force him to miss the entire season. I thought Danks had a good shot at winning the heavyweight division, if not placing very high. We wish him the best, I know he still has dreams of playing college football.
