I was looking at the pairings for the class b state tournament and i noticed that Cody Werven from cavalier didnt even get seated he gave Amb a hell of a match in the region two championship and even though he record may not show it he is a very tough wrestler. And then i noticed brock norrie from kenmare got the 7th seed and he is only 3-2 how can someone with only 5 matches get a sead who did he beat? i saw he lossed to chilson 2 times pretty badly.

Brock Norrie is no pushover. He has been a solid wrestler since his Freshman year. He is only 3-2 this year because he broke his ankle in a few places and tore some tendons while wrestling some fat alumni over thanksgiving break. As for his two losses to Chilson, the first one in the region dual tourney was close i beleive it was tied and chilson got a reversal with about 40 seconds remaining to win. Wasnt there for the region championship last weekend but the paper said 10-2. I think Brock will place and I think it will be higher than he is seeded.

I thought about my last post. Maybe someone with only 5 matches shouldnt get seeded. I just am really glad he is back wrestling, after his injury. I was the fatty he was wrestling when he got injured. I would have felt alot worse about it if would not have got a chance to wrestle his senior season. So I guess I just really want him to excell at state. We will see if Werven is worthy of the seed right away. He wrestles Norrie in the first round, so if he wins it would be the same as being the 7 seed. Good luck to him and everyone else at 152 this weekend.

norrie got seeded because he placed at 160 last year, and has been a very good wrestler over the years he had some tuff luck this year, i dont think he tried against that chilson kid either time they wrestled because he didnt want to break his ankle or hurt it for state..... i think he will go 100% at state hes a tuff kid and the coaches remembered him, thats good

norrie is a great wrestler, people do have some back luck thoughout the season but when it comes time for state and they get seeded higher than someone thinks, its just not based on that year, i can bet that people dont look at just that current year but the years before that and who they beat also who they didnt. as far as seedings go, if you get drawn in some where that isnt a good place for you then oh well just wrestle out of it. ive wrestled norrie before and won once and lost once. its just who shows up for the match. i got drawn in against Gross my freshman year and ended up pullin out a win(not sure how) and he was the 7th seed. so if you are upset about your seeding then show people that you deserved better, dont come on here and complain to people about how you didnt think that "someone" shouldnt of gotten seeded ahead of you.
peace

brock norrie is a heck of a wrestler and will probly take higher then his seed, considering 152 is pretty weak anyways.

152 wasn't what you call a week weight class really, but it wasn't the toughest one out there neither. The toughest one was 125 I think this year. it was stacked and tight fitted. 152 had 5 people that had proven to be REALLY good wrestlers all through the year and into the end of it. I know for a fact that Imdieke, Klein, McCleary and Amb jumped around during duals in the year, and they all won almost all their matches doing that. And I know that 171 wasn't easy neither 171pounder, but don't critisize any weight that don't deserve it. there was way easyer weights then 152 and if you where at the same weight as the top 3 there, Imdieke, Amb, or McCleary, I'm sure that they would have the skill to be TOP compedators in that weight to. The only difference is muscle that they don't have from being that weight. If they did you'd have some more people at 171 and those 3 would have been gunning for everyone and did really well

yea my bad 152 wasn't all that weak, they had some tough guys there, but i dont think anyone was to special besides imdieke.

What are you talking about, both Amb and McCleary gave him a run to. Amb finished with only 5 loss's through the year and McCleary 9 I think. They to where good, and neither of them got manhandled by Imdieke. But they couldn't beat him neither. He's the one that shined, but the other 2 made the compatition REALLY tough to get his 3rd State Championship.

amb didn't give him much of a run, mccleary gave him a little scare in the semi's but he pretty well walked through.

Amb gave him a good match but no matter how many times they wrestled the outcome would always be the same imdieke congrats and congrats to amb as well you did a heck of a job this year.
