I want to give no disrespect to Dave Folden I just couldn't remember his name. Sinner was no easy match for anyone but I was unaware that Henderson had lost to this other person, I stand corrected. If Henderson doesn't lose to this kid is he the #1 seed?

By the way, henderson beat irmen 4-1 in the east-west, not 2OT.

Actually I think you are wrong about the score but it really doesn't matter, the way it worked out Folden should have been seeded 2nd and Irmen 3rd but obviously we will never see that match so I'll drop it. I just wish the schools up there would look for some competition. Did you see Carrington's 189 pounder, he has a 15-19 record and is seeded 6th. I think that says something about there schedule.

Plus, Folden didnt lose to any class B wrestlers. Henderson did lose to a kid that took 3rd in region 3. (Foldens region)

I'm saying I was wrong Folden was rightfully the #1 seed but who did he beat that was any good and when it was all done he was the 2nd place finisher and he didn't wrestle the person who took 3rd so we will never know who would have won that match.

If you look at the books from the past, most weight classes dont go exactly as planned. Thats why you wrestle, to show that you can beat someone that you arent expected to. Otherwise they would just give out the trophies before regionals. The whole point is that its easy to look back and say someone shouldnt have been seeded because they lost. The coaches do the best they can to seed and thats all you can do. Its not the kids that do the scheduling, its the coaches. So to complain that 2 kids didnt get to wrestle isnt right. What about when 2 teams dual and one team pulls their kid because they dont want him to lose ranking. I dont think this was done at all in irmen and foldens case, so it was out of their control.

I agree Folden never ducked anyone and he never set Rugby's schedule, I just wish the coaches would realize by wrestling easier opponents it will only hurt you at the end of the year.

folden is wrestling at jamestown college now and has qualified for the national tourney multiple times, so he is no push over by any means, and last years state championship match between folden and henderson was a heck of a match, and dave woulda crused irmen no problem.

irmens a heck of a wrestler this year, but he definitely wasn't at foldens level last year.

How will we ever know the answer to this question, I admitted I was wrong and that Folden got the seed he deserved based on Henderson's loss to the New Town kid but the bottom line is the only class B wrestler he beat that was seeded in the top 4 was Sinner am I right or wrong. To say he would beat Irmen is crazy, I'm not saying he wouldn't but it would be no easy task!

No way could have Folden beaten Irmen. I know Joey had wrestled Folden at a freestyle tourney the year after folden won it at 125. Irmen pinned him in 1:30 or something like that. Folden was never a physical wrestler. When you post things you should know past matches. Folden was lucky to get the 1 seed. I guarantee if he would have wrestled the same competion as Irmen or Henderson he would have not been undefeated class B. Sinner would have definately beaten him in a rematch.
