103 Calvin Berry - Minot 112 Ike Trottier - TMCHS 119 Travis Lang - Bismarck High 125 Keith Sebelius, West Fargo would have been Mellmer, Dickinson. 130 Phil Basting, G.F. Red River Andy Sabot of Century will give Phil all he can haddle. 135 Casey Sabot, Beulah close call with White Jamestown 140 Eric Sabot, Century easiest call 145 Luke Sundby, Williston 152 Dustin Czapiewski, West Fargo 160 Nick Olsen, Jamestown 171 Travis Jensen, Williston 189 Elliott Piper, Bismarck should be another easy call. 215 Justin Hoag, Century 275 Logan Kling, Fargo North
I know that wrestling must be proven on the mat and there are many wrestling with the goal of winning state and capable of doing it. But these are my predictions as of 2/1/02

What good is a poll if you only list half the teams?

Sorry your team isn't listed but when making this poll it only allow you to pick 8 items and legitamately if you can name another team that has a shot.. mention them it a statement.. maybe a write-in vote... If you think your team can pull a Century... Then tell us... Who... and see if we get a laugh like I thought a lot of people did last year with Century.
Thanks.

;)What makes you say that!!!!! just so you know, I really do live in the real world. However, I do think Wahpeton will come home with two state champs.

119 Neigum does not have to worry about another state championship cause Wallace is going to beat him bad next time they wrestle. There will be no place to run Neigum. Be ready Shaun all the way baby...

Why post this crap? Let the wrestlers prove themselves on the mat.

I agree Like I've told my son if you win . you win . if you lose you'll still be my son and the sun will still come up tommorrow. I guess in today's competive world, winning, has been instilled in our children's minds. I am hoping that our kids will still enjoy the sport by the time they are old enough to graduate and have their own children some day. We have been in the middle of one big rivalry ever since we made the team, and for that I would have to thank my sons competition, for it has made him a better person and in result a better wrestler. Thanks

Great posts people... Everyone here is just putting opinions, I doubt anyone is trying to hurt anyones feelings....Reality....is the real state champions....win or lose are the one who give it there all... and appreciate the sport... are good sports.... and ... when it is all over proud of themselves... Predictions? basicly... start a competition for the people not on the mat.... The wrestlers have to do all the work.. Thanks Dakota Grappler

103-I see Berry taking it, should be an interesting final between Berry and Glasser though.
112-Senne and Trottier in the finals, I see Senne taking it.
119-Of course its going to be Neigum and Lang, what is this, 8th time this year? no comment on this match.
125-Sebelius should win this,vs either Stockert or I, probably one of the weaker weights though, anything can happen.
130-Bastings vs Sabot in finals, phil should come out on top again.
135-White and Covington, after watching these 2 go at it at EDC, I don't know what to expect at state. Definatly going to be one of the more interesting finals.
140-Sabot beats Kok easily, either major or pin.
145-Interesting class, Staska can wrestle tough if he wants to, but I'm going to say Mahlum and Ehlert in the finals, I serioulsy think Mahlum will win this.
152-Michaelson and Sundby in finals, Michealson wins.
160-Nick Olson vs Englehardt, Olson winning.
171-Jensen vs Chase in finals, Jensen winning.
189-Piper beats whomever he may see in finals
215-This is one of the more interesting weight classes, for the first time its probably the toughest, the top 6 guys in here can take this thing. I'll take Thompson in the finals though, but watch for Nicholson to make some noise.
HWT-Kling vs Anderson, what can I say, Kling is going to rock him, after seeing his performance at EDC, I don't how he wouldn't. Always exciting watching him wrestle though.
